Special Guest Presenters for 2021

Dr Rachel Carey – The University of Melbourne

Dr Rachel Carey is a Lecturer in Food Systems in the School of Agriculture and Food, where her teaching and research focuses particularly on the governance of resilient and sustainable food systems.

Rachel leads the Foodprint Melbourne project, which is investigating the resilience of Melbourne’s foodbowl in increasing the resilience of the city’s food supply.

Ms Alesha Printz, General Manager – Victoria, Engineers Australia

Alesha Printz is a Chartered Engineer and the General Manager, Victoria Division of Engineers Australia, Australia’s peak engineering association representing around 100,000 engineers.

Her passion for engineering was shaped by a volunteer experience in a remote town in Mongolia where she lived without the benefits of engineering such as running water, electricity or mobile phones and she was convinced of the importance of engineering to provide equitable lives for all.
