STAVCON 2025 Registration Lucky Draw Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter the promotion and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entries not completed and submitted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will not be accepted. Participation in this promotion shall be deemed an acknowledgement and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The promotion commences at 8:00am AEST on Thursday 7 August 2025 and closes at 5pm Thursday 18 September 2025 (“Promotional Period”).
3. The promotion is being conducted by Science Teachers Association of Victoria ABN 59 004 145 329 of 15 Munro Street Coburg Vic 3058 Ph: (03) 9385 3999 (“Promoter”).
4. Entry is open only to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over who register and pay for a STAVCON 2025 ticket by 5pm 18 September 2025. Eligible entries will register and pay for a ticket using the conference registration portal.
5. Directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter (including its affiliates and agencies), each of their related bodies corporate are not eligible to enter this promotion.
6.A single draw will take place at Science Teachers Association of Victoria office on Tuesday 23 September 2025 at 11:00am
The judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The first entry drawn at random from all the competition entries will win a 12 month subscription to Australian Science Teachers Associations Spectra Awards Cards valued at $990.
8. The winners names will be announced during the draw and contacted via phone. Delivery of the prizes will be arranged with the winners.
9. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
10. The Promoter does not take any responsibility for prize being lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed in transit.
11. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants. Where any aspect of the promotion is affected by sabotage, theft, fraud or mistake, or an entry does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion disqualify an entrant.
12. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, and their related bodies corporate, their officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained in connection with the conduct of the promotion and/or redeeming or using the prize.
13. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will collect, use, and disclose the personal information of entrants in the manner specified in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and for the purpose of conducting this promotion, including making disclosure to all relevant State and Territory Lottery Departments where required. All personal information of entrants from the entry form will be destroyed on completion of the draw. 14. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to waive any of the conditions set out in these Terms and Conditions in its absolute discretion, subject to any written directions from all relevant State and Territory Lottery Departments. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
16. In the case of a force majeure event (including but not limited to vandalism, a power failure, tempest, terrorism, industrial action or an act of God), the Promoter may in its absolute discretion modify, suspend or cancel the promotion, subject to any written directions from all relevant State and Territory Lottery Departments.
