STAV’s VCE Conference Series is a key feature in the calendars of VCE teachers of the Sciences. We anticipate engaging over 1,000 Science teachers throughout the series. For 2026, STAV will be offering one stream for each day including the keynotes and VCAA updates as a hybrid model.
The intended audience includes not only teachers of the VCE Sciences but also laboratory technicians, members of the education research community and tertiary sector, and all others with an interest in VCE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, and Psychology.
Workshop sessions can be either 45 or 90 minutes, and should factor in time for participant questions, and discussion. Please note, 90-minute slots are very limited.
Should your presentation contain a practical or hands-on experiment, you will be asked to indicate this during the submission process and submit a risk assessment for your presentation.
STAV receives a large number of high-quality submissions each year. The review process takes approximately three to four weeks after submissions close, after which time you will receive notification of the application outcome. We anticipate this taking place at the end of November 2025.
Please contact STAV Events [email protected] with any questions.
The call for sessions will close at 11:59pm (AEST) on Sunday 16 November 2025.
You will receive an initial email acknowledging that your application has been submitted successfully. Please also check junk/spam inboxes.
If you wish to submit a session for more than one subject day or submit more than one session please complete a new form.
Sponsorship opportunities will be shared in the coming weeks. Should you have any questions in relation to this process, please email: STAV Sponsorship and Marketing ([email protected])
