STAVCON 2024: Transforming Science Education Call for sessions will close 16 September 2024. Step 1 of 4 25% Thank you for expressing your interest to present at STAVCON 2024: Transforming Science Education. In a highly successful CONASTA year in which STAV hosted the in-person conference in Melbourne, STAV is keen to offer its iconic conference, STAVCON, in an alternative format. Having learnt from the pandemic, we are aiming to bring together all of Victoria's teachers and laboratory technicians in novel, interesting and inclusive ways. As such, STAVCON 2024 will be held online this November. The intention is that presentations can be delivered live or be pre-recorded. STAV office can facilitate those wishing to record their session. Presenters who decide to present live, will be expected to do so from their own setup (eg. microphone, video), there will be no broadcasting studio access. Speakers who will be presenting live will have the opportunity closer to the event to attend a training session to experience the platform prior to the event. On the day, there will be a moderator/facilitator in each room providing technical support.STAVCON, as you may know, is one of STAV’s flagship conferences. Its audience is diverse and includes teachers of primary and secondary science and STEM, laboratory technicians, and members of the education research community and tertiary sector. In terms of the depth, breadth and richness of offerings, STAVCON is unique. The call for sessions will close at 11:59pm (AEST) on Monday 16 September 2024. STAV receives a large number of high-quality submissions each year. The review process takes a few weeks of which you will receive notification of whether your application has been successful or not around the beginning of Term 4. You will receive an initial email acknowledging that your application has been delivered successfully. Please also check junk/spam inboxes.
